Still struggling to get octagonal tips although James at DHL tools in Yeovill can get some direct from Maydown he believes. The price is eye watering, over £75  fo 10.

The ISO code is OEMT 05 T3 TR ideally I'd like coated ones anyone got any source apart from Maydown themselves?

Meyrick a really big thank you for the source

Well at that money they'll be good . Mind you, a lot of milling tips are not cheap, but at less than £1 per edge that's not huge. You pay more per edge on the standard CCMT turning tips.

For less you can get a Glanze holder AND the cheaper triangular milling tips.

Its just having to buy them all at once that hurts.

You may have already tried but I have bought tips from Ebay, mind you they were TCMT, 11mm triangular, but the prices were very low for Sandvik and Kennametal.

Cheers

ps;  Just had a quick browse and didn't find any OEMT style but there was at least one OFMT 05 T3 style.

Greenwood Tools can supply octagonal inserts, give them a ring and speak to Peter.
