1 forum posts | hello all! been trying to find a forum like this for some time now.been picking up little tips all over the internet for the past couple of weeks now and have just purchased my FIRST 3D printer...my pride and joy! well, not yet, just building it at the moment as it came flat packed with some instrustions that are alot easier than the old 'ikea' manual!! i was thinking of using it for printing small figurines and buildings for the surrounding foreground for my rail track.got it from www.bitsfrombytes.co.uk, a company near bristol that have replicated the reprap machine for a fraction of the price...couldnt belive it. i thought i was looking to pay thousands like most of them! any questions and i'll try and answer them and i'll keep you posted on the build guys...happy printing! |

421 forum posts 1 photos | It would be great if you could keep us posted on the machine, how you find using it, how long it takes to learn to use, and any limitations. It seems an excellent piece of kit and I could see lots of uses for it, however I would like more information about real life experiences with the machine from a user like yourself.

115 forum posts 30 photos | Not sure what happens with this thread.... First Link does not exist (and i googled around a fair bit) 2nd post points to jay lenos garage, no obvious sign of 3d printing. seems that "bits from bytes" was bought by 3D systems in 2010??? (I was just interested... now confused, but what's new?) |

![]() 25215 forum posts 3105 photos 1 articles | Certainly not this thread, no wonder the first link is out of date as it is from 2009. Somewhere on Jay Leno's site is a bit about 3D scanning and printing parts for cars. J PS it was brought back onto the forum by a spam post before Mark's otherwise probably would still be dormant.
