Hi David, and welcome to the site

Citric acid is fine for pickling boilers.

As to containers you should be able to get that kind of stuff from a brewers merchants.

Spell checking is something that will be looked at in the future.

I used a couple of 25 litre plastic brewing buckets on for the citric solution the other for water to clean it off  after pickling, I've seen these buckets in some garden centres also try a couple of plastic dustbins with the lids having a hold down clip on them, a lot of horse tack shops sell these as they use them for feed bins and they are not that expensive

Never heard of "Tupperware" David??? But if you nick one from SWTSMBO, be prepared to Ruuuuuuuuuuuun. 'Salso a good idea to CLEARLY mark the container with a Skull and Crossbones (Well, you don't want your boiler covered in Icing Sugar do you???) The Citric ain't poisonous but the dissolved Copper in it gives it a "Distinct" taste.

If you live in a rural area you may have noticed rectangular plastic buckets in fields. They are mineral suppliment blocks for livestock. Very strong plastic, snap on lid and being about 16 inches long by nine wide and nine deep are a good shape for our purpose. farmers usually have sheds ful of empty ones.
