Hi folks, new to group , im a tinkerer & l9ve restoration of old machines , done a few progress & fobco piller & bench drills so far , I'm in the process of restoring a meddings bench drill the switch gear was none standard but managed to find the correct one now , ( single & three ph) but I'm struggling to find the switch lever , Its 3/16th square fitting , I'm not sure how to upload pic on here, but any help would be much appreciated

Does the switch lever look like this one:

A common switch on those drills was made by Santon, so search for 'santon switch'.

The shape of the lever in the one above is called a 'chicken head knob' so that might be a useful search term. Smaller versions were used on old guitar amplifiers.

I have the same switch on mine, you could contact Meddings as they do have some 'old' spares but they're not cheap!

The knob, or lever . Its a female square 3/16th fitting

Only if it is changed to Meddling with a Meddings.

It would fit the style of many article headlines in the published monthly.
