Hope this isn't in breach of / will tread on other suppliers toes; mods. delete if inappropriate..

Have noticed that the M/Mart SALE items list is showing some CL430 / 500 bits -

Fixed steady 430/500 £48,

Travelling steady430/500 £40,

Faceplate CL500 £54

You have to click on the item to see if there's stock near you and then collect in person, they won't send it...

Nowt unusual for this lot. They often have what they call ‘VAT free’ sales (which are simply 20% off, not VAT free).

Does this signify the end of them selling those lathe/mills, by any chance?

.

That would seem surprisingly generous of them

20% of £100 is £20

but the 20% VAT included in £100 is only £16.66 [or £16.67 depending who’s counting]

100 - (100/1.2)

They've got a showroom just down the road from me, easy walk but never seems very worthwhile as they only stock a lot of fairly small items, e.g., a bench drill. Their Lewes Rd., Brighton branch, opposite Sainsburys.

A little while ago, some one said that Machine Mart were no longer selling the CL430 or CL500M, so maybe the accessories are being remainders?
