Ok, hands up, full disclosure, I messed up making the beam linkage on the Elmers 24 engine, drilling that 1/8 by 1/32 strip was my undoing! Does anyone know where I can get some replacements. Looking to get 12" or more (to allow for more learning oppurtunities!)

Regards

K & S Metals - from modelmakers hobby shops do 1/4" by 1/32" by 12" long which could be cut down. Otherwise you will need to buy suitable sheet and cut a strip from it.

K&S metals. Do you haven a mill? If so, clamp a bit of aluminium strip in the vice, clamp the brass on this piece of strip with another aluminium strip on top using a toolmakers clamp. Drill the holes and carefully drill the holes. Then mill round the edges to size. Remove aluminium, job done. I have done 0.1 mm shims like this.
