re ME #4677- 3D printing article.

I am unable to find the Onsite files referenced in this article on the free Onsite web site. File 'TAPBOX_LT' not found is search result.

Any one else had this problem?

Sorry, my typo. It was Onshape I checked out..

Did you manage to find the file?

No, I don't really want to sign up for Onshape

This video shows you how to access files about 1.30 in to the video, click the public option.

Thanks for the guidance.

My error was not searching under "public".

However, although I found the tap box file the QC holder file was not at the address in the article.

Is it possible to have the writer confirm the address?

Thanks,

Dave T.

You could try sending him a PM as he is a member of the forum. Just click "message member" at the bottom of any post and on the window that comes up change the name to his.

Tried this a week or so ago no reply. Any other options?

Thanks.

Possible contact the Editor Martin Evans and see if he can get the author to provide the file, failing that it's probably a case of drawing it yourself.

Hi David,

I use the free version of Onshape and have been very pleased with it. I opened the public tab and at the top of the screen there is a search box for the public files. I typed in TAPBOX_LT and the solid model you are looking for came up plus some copies of it that others have made. See if this works for you.

Hi Byron,

Thanks for the reply.

I am looking for the file for the QC tool holder bracket.

When I check out the file ref:-"TAPBOX_LT" all I see is the boxes for taps.

When I just tried "TAPBOX_LT->QC" , the ref given for the tool holder bracket, all I get is "not found". Last week the same reference showed what appeared to be electrical connectors.

Frustrating.

Dave.
