WM18 Mill not starting
Matt Antrobus | 27/12/2021 19:06:10 |
3 forum posts | I have a problem with a newly acquired & rather unfamiliar Warco WM18 Mill which is currently not starting. I’ve checked the fuse in the plug which is Ok, but there doesn’t seem to be any power getting to the control box. There are some clear glass fuses taped to the inside of the cabinet door, but I can’t find any obvious place to replace on of these. Can anyone advise?
Alternatively does anyone have a manual for this machine they could send me thanks in advance Matt |

349 forum posts 61 photos | Matt If you look on the US Grizzly machine tools website, you can usually find a good manual for their equivalent to the Warco machines. I have had a quick look and I think this one is similar to the WM18. Stuart |

![]() 1009 forum posts 305 photos | Without going into the workshop just check the emergency button is out then select either forward or reverse and see what happens. That should light up the display then press start button to run the machine Edited By Derek Lane on 27/12/2021 20:15:59 |

36 forum posts | Have a look at the rear of the control box. I recall there are a couple of screw cap type fuse holders there. Might be thinking of something else..... Graham |

349 forum posts 61 photos | The display only lights up when the on button is pressed and the following are ok: If either the emergency stop button, the micro switch on the guard are operated, the forward/reverse switch is in the 0 position or the fuse is blown will all stop the display lighting up and the motor starting. So it could be any of these. Stuart

Agreed Sorry I was getting confused with my DRO display which is connected to the same outlet. I was surprised when I removed my guard pivot to find the mill would run. the micro switch is made all the time when the guard pivot is removed.
Doh.

That is something I forgot about is if the guard is still fitted it needs to be swung into place |
