Jason, That is what I did and have been doing when it worked for quite a few issues. Today it now seems to save it as a PDF which is what I expected all along. Dave. |

It doesn't appear fixed to me. I get to the save as. So this I do and instead of an Adobe Acrobat file it saves it as a Google we page which then never opens. Am I being a SOD or is it still not right? |

Jason that is exactly it.

Thread: Log in to Magazines |
13/02/2023 14:27:33 |
Until last Thursday I had no trouble logging into Digital ME and MEW. Having contacted Classic Magazine today a very helpful Katie sent me a reactivation link. Which turned out to be for Pocket Mags which I had no problem with. She didn't seem aware about the log in from the ME/MEW site so can anyone help? |

https://www.hafixs.co.uk/products/profglue/index.html This is worth considering I've been using this since a visit to Alley Palley over 10 years ago. Not cheap and it does set fairly quickly but I've used it for everything. Do ensure it is drained back before putting the lid on. Found this out the hard way.

I was going to say that having no compressor I wondered if my garage vacuum cleaner would do the trick on blow. As you can see (and hear) it did. I have no idea what the pressure is though. I found it amazing that it was April when I'd finished the flywheel which was the last component to make. Time definitely speeds up the older one gets. It was the first time I'd used you tube and it had me running round in circles and the only things it offered to share with were all the well known apps and a lot more which didn't give me any option than to post the URL. Thanks again Michael. |

Chester responded today with the good news. Part No BAN-SAW-H80-S-052 H80 Brass gear. So I will get one and spend my energy replacing it. Thanks for all the advice. |

I have e-mailed Chester on the off chance they will have one somewhere otherwise it is going to give me a headache finding one. It is probably beyond my ability to make one. I will have to make a puller to remove it and although it will come off fitting the new one will require me to remove the worm first. Happy days. |

There does appear to be a big bonus thou. That is you can download a copy as a PDF and save it where you want. That appears to be a better deal than the Pocket Mags app. Dave C |

When under the old system I clicked on Magazines I could look back since the MEW started or some later date for ME. Now it appears we can only see when we had a subscription. So we appear to have lost what was a great bonus. Now we have to jump through hoops before even seeing what we have paid for. Something seems to have gone awry. |

Thank you Jason. I hadn't had to do that when I first subscribed or my next 2 renewals. Having gone to settings I could see the problem. My subscription for MEW hadn't been updated. |

There is definitely a problem. Having decided that the printed versions were getting out of hand and an offer in Oct came up for both ME and MEW in digital only I took it out. ME became available straight away but until April this year I didn't know about MEW as my existing Print and Digital didn't run out until April 2022. Then on the MEW web page all I got access to was ME no MEW. As I had downloaded the Pocketmags App. I just couldn't understand why it wasn't available. After a lot of phone calls I was told that I needed to go to the pocketmags.com site and register with my reg. number. Now I can get the digital version of both there but on the Model Engineering web site only have access to ME not MEW.. The shame of this is that I can no longer see all the digital MEW's since they started only those since paying a subscription. Something has definitely gone awry. |

Perhaps too late maybe? Another alternative to the curved slot underneath the eccentric would have been to add some 'pads' underneath all the other parts. A simple mod if it is planned out at the start though. Phil H Sorry Phil there is no eccentric on the flywheel. So I'm not sure what you mean.

Neil, How does one chase up a problem that I am not getting digital copies of MEW from a £10 offer I paid for in Oct last year. |

John, This is what the straps and cotters look like on my Half beam. Is there something not showing on your drawing as it looks as though there are no straps and the cotters do nothing. All 5 bearings on the engine are like this. Edited By David Caunt on 11/04/2022 20:54:29 |
