Hi all,

I have clutch slip on my myford ml7! Cleaned, and deglazed shoes. Refitted, still the same.
can you buy aftermarket shoes? Can you also get the roll pin for the adjuster on the clutch?
many thanks

Is the roll pin something special?

might be cheaper than a single roll pin from a ‘specialist’.

Plenty of other alternatives if one searches for them.

The cluch shoes were from a raleigh moped possibly a runabout ! they require very careful adjustment. If the shoes are in good order it should be possible to get them relined. you refer to a roll pin, do you mean the push rod ? Good luck. Noel.

Thank you all for replying!

Apologies for my incorrect terminology! Push pin looks too short! The shoes look absolutely fine, loads of material on them.

I’ve deglazed the shoes and inner drum. When I adjust the pin so the clutch is completely engaged, the pin sometimes falls out . I’m thinking of making a longer pin so the adjusting screw won’t be wound in so much.

I have some bar which I should be able to run down to diameter.

I’ve taken pictures but unfortunately can’t send from my phone!

Really appreciate the replys

Made up a new push pin, slightly longer than the one fitted. Clutch working fine now . Thank you for information
