I have recently sent off two posts including photos which have not appeared

on the forum. Would somebody advise whether this is because they were not

fit to be published or has my machine malfunctioned.

As you will note I am still unable to get a single spacing in text and assistance

with this would be appreciated.

Unless you are posting under the premoderated forum topic a post will appear as soon as you click "Add Posting" The Mods can only delete it some time after that so it would sound like it is something at your end.

What type of device are you using, what operating system, what browser, any add blocking software etc?

Hello Jason thanks for the prompt response. Todays post went off without a hitch so probably my fault.

I am using a laptop with Windows 10 OS and can adjust the line spacing when I use Word, Publisher etc. but

unable to adjust spacing here.

Looks like you have solved the line spacing problem now.

Forum software will give a double space at end of a paragraph or whenever you press the return/enter key but otherwise should wrap the text like your last post has done.

Allan, as Jason says a long line of text, such as, this should word-wrap automatically and give you single line spacing, which is fine if that suits the formatting you're trying to achieve to show clarity in your post.

As you can see, I've now come up with a double line spacing by using carriage return.
I did however want to add a single line space for this one, without using word wrapping on the shorter previous line.

I achieved it by using Shift with Carriage Return;
Just like this.

It sounds like you may be writing in Word then copying it into the forum. Word has an irritating feature on default templates of embedding extra line spacing. Selecting single spaced template might help but it is simpler to just write direct into the forum.
Note that for photos there is a special technique though as you have some in your album it looks like you have already understood that.

I have found that if I come to the end of a sentence, say most of the way across the page then want to start a new paragraph, press return bar and it jumps down otwo lines. A little trick I've learned is to space along a few character spaces, leaving insufficient room for the first word of the new paragraph and it jumps down to the very next line.

I should add that there probably is a better way to do this but I struggle a bit, these contraptions were not even dreamt of before I left school. Find that various outer jobs done regularly I remember how but something done infrequently, I have to write down the method or rely on Google's ask anything!
