I have just become the owner of a somewhat neglected Model A. Can anyone point me in the direction of a manual or can anyone explain what all of the various controls do.

Thanks

Martin

Lathes UK may have something, they do reprints of manuals.

Try this;

https://groups.io/g/BoxfordLathe-UserGroup

You will probably need to join (it's free) and look at the left side of the screen for 'FILES'

Hope that works,

Brian

You will have to join the group and login. The file you are looking for is

boxford_know_your_lathe.pdf

There are parts lists but you will need to try them as thay have multiplied over the years.

Boxford produced a book- "Know Your Lathe" It is available from Amazon (rather pricey) or free on line.

I don't know if it's exactly the same book as Boxford's 'Know Your Lathe', but there is a book of the same title by Denford's Engineering Company listed at TEE Publishing for £4.95. I suspect it's an earlier edition of the same book as Boxford's and Denford's were almost the same company, I believe, or at least co-operated closely with each other. Of course, I stand to be corrected, but in any event a fiver is hardly any great loss if the book is purchased in error.

Many thanks for every ones input. The free pdf gives me enough info to get me started playing with my £25 purchase.
