Vice project

i downloaded the drawings and decided to see if I could make a vice as good as his . The vice is made from mild steel block and round bar milled to shape and then tig welded together. All the welds were dressed using rifler files and the entire thing hand polished with files and fine emery cloth. No power buffers were used it’s all hand work. The enter screw thread is 3/8 acme screwcut on the lathe. Oxtool in America auctioned his vice off as an apprentice prize and he has told me to his knowledge only a handful of these vices have been made. Anyhow check out his YouTube page it’s a great project and he is a very knowledgeable toolmaker..
