I have a couple of gallons of very used soluble suds (Rocol) to dispose of. How/where can I do this safely and legally?

Take it to your local council re-cycling centre, perhaps a gallon at a time. Tell them what it is. Either they will tell you to go away with the stuff or they will accept it. It does no harm to try.

I took an unopenned 5L container of 15 year old Dromus cutting fluid to the local centre before Christmas. It was accept without question and put aside with all the other nasties. (I would not want to open a container of 15 year old Dromus).

For such a small quantity, just take it to your local council tip and put it in their motor oil recycling tank. They won't thank you for it, but it works.

For larger quantities, or if you are being good, put it in a black plastic bucket or dustbin, protected from the rain. Fish out any ice that forms in Winter and wait until the summer sun evaporates most of the water, then do as above. A small garden fountain and/or fish tank heater will speed things up a bit.

I've got rid of 30 gallons of the stuff the second way.

Your local council re-cycling centre should take it, but check first when you can go, there may be restrictions during lockdown. My local centre allows odd and even car registration numbers on alternate days.
