I am at a loss to understand the two Pipe connections on the Water Pump.

One comes from the underside of the casting, and the other from the top. Both then go thru the aluminium base-plate.

However I can find nothing that tells me what then happens to them. Obviously they must connect to something, but what ?.

No doubt I am being stupid, but PLEASE can someone enlighten me.

In anticipation many thanks, and my hopes that 2021 will be a better year for us all.

Best wishes Malcolm Farrant (Roskrow)

As said if you are running on steam then connect the bottom to water supply and top to boiler clack. If you are on air or separate feed pump to boiler then just treat the engines own pump as decorative.

Or you could add a baked bean tin and pump water too and fro, as in my engine.

Had to do a screenshot as video of engine running was too large.

Thanks, it looks like a good project to build. Unfortulate that the archive only goes back to 187, not as far as 121

I did put up all the info and then managed to duplicate it so altered the duplicated one to say DUPLICATE REMOVED

I see the mods have managed to leave that one and deleted the reply that had all the info in which Paul thanked me for.

br

Sorry br, wasn't me that deleted the right one, but I just zapped the dud... I can't retrieve the lost post because pressing delete is permanent.

Your original is still there at 12.45 with the Volume numbers, Dave has deleted the one that said duplicate which was directly after it. Unless you had put more info in the one that you then changed to duplicate.

The ME Beam has been covered several times, the one in vol 122 gives 4 page sover to teh pump though it is fabricated rather than made from castings.
