Can anyone help me please. I need 2 off 6BA socket head cap screws 1/2" long to finish the motion work on my SPEEDY loco. BA screws are a bit of a rarity here in France (socket head more so). My cheapest option with postage from the UK is about £14. I need a load more of other stuff which I can source, but I can't find a supplier who do will supply the other nuts and bolts AND these small cap heads.

If anyone can help, I would gladly send another £5 to the Poppy appeal in return for a couple of screws.

PM me if you can help me out - fingers crossed.

Bob

Thanks Norm, EKP won't deliver outside of UK - otherwise an interesting supplier.

I have just had an offer from one of our readers which I will take up, so to any other readers, thanks for reading.

Good that you are now sorted Speedy.
When I checked Norm's link for ba-bolts there is an 'airmail shipping' link at top of page, 2x6BA-1/2" steel bolts @0.55 ea = 1.10, airmail shipping 2.00, handling 2.50 = £5.60 total
Kind of expensive for 2bolts but if it gets you out of a hole, well OK then.
Like you, living in France ME supplies get expensive.

Like I said, to get 2 screws sent to France was a bit of an overkill and from EKPs site -

ptimizeLegibility">Please note that our website is for UK orders only; and we do not accept overseas orders online. We are unable to accept orders from the USA for any goods or amount.

Perhaps they might have delivered overseas if ordered by telephone - its their loss if their web site is not over clear.

And for ebay, postage costs £8 ++ Anyway, the Poppy appeal has supported instead of Royal Mail .

thanks all

Bob
