Re fridge motor

Many thanks for the replies received. To be clear the motor was removed from its fridge many years ago long before global warming was an issue and has been waiting for a possible use to arrive. Note is taken also of the good advice re use of a pressure gauge etc. Many thanks for the help received.

Just for info, the tube that is crimped/sealed off is connected to the action side of the compressor, it was the charging port. So your unit has 2 inlets and 1 outlet.

Most Air compressors Have a air Filter fitted because they need to breath ,A Sealed unit fridge compressor does not breath . I wonder if you continue pumping out air you will eventually create a vacunm in the unit witch will force it to stop , If when running it seems to be strugerling switch of because the motor is getting overloaded
