Which machine is this?

2 forum posts | Please could anyone tell me the brand of this milling machine? I’ve looked everywhere... the first line of the switch instructions are in German. Edited By Neil Wyatt on 18/02/2020 14:08:49 |

1323 forum posts 1431 photos | Mirror of an EMCO-FB2 - If as you say there is German text, ( or rather Austrian?), then it could be a genuine FB2 , but fitted to a different base - the base is NOT EMCO FB-2 at all. The column and head were also supplied as a milling accessory for the EMCO lathes - Super 11 , V13, etc, and folk would fit that head to an aftermarket base to use as a stand alone mill. Rather confusing though...The mill table looks like the genuine thing, but could not exist on its own - the dovetails are part of the base. Must admit, if it is a clone, it seems a 'good' one! Also, the side covers on the gearbox normally had the EMCO name cast in on the genuine FB2 The part of the base where the column enters - is it separate to the actual base itself - bolts to the base from the rear - or is it all cast with the base? A pic of one of my FB-2's - I have a few.. Joe |

1033 forum posts 2 photos | It is a Warco clone of the Emco FB2. Warco dropped it from their range at least ten years ago. |

3 forum posts | I had one, sold as a Rong Fu. Good copy of the FB2, but the makers 'improved' on the FB2 by adding an extra inch on the spindle and providing it with male Myford thread. The only thing they forgot was to lengthen the drawbar by an inch ... |

2 forum posts | Thanks for clearing this up and for sharing your knowledge! I am very surprised too how similar they look not mention they do look a quality built machine. Based on the link Gray shared the base gives it way. I am shifting a few machines which I have inherited. I'll stick it on eBay later if anyone is interested in it. |
