In ME volume 152, number 3720, Januari 1984 John Wilding in his article "Repairs to a shooting stick" gives a short description of the construction and shows a picture of his cross slide with a method of obtaining extra setover.

Is it possible to make the curvy bit slightly longer and wedge the ends in the corners between the disks and the straight studs? No need for rivets then.

I had one, sold as a Rong Fu. Good copy of the FB2, but the makers 'improved' on the FB2 by adding an extra inch on the spindle and providing it with male Myford thread. The only thing they forgot was to lengthen the drawbar by an inch ...
