A bit of bare-faced advertising, but I thought I would let you all know that I have been busy over the last year or so and finally completed both revising my book and converting it to a format that allows publication via Amazon (yes, I know, I've gone over to the dark side ). The great advantage is that they have the problem with dealing with inventory, shipping, etc. etc., and I don't need to do much except count the royalties. It also means that I can offer the same book either as a paperback (which I suspect most will prefer) or as a Kindle E-book (which is slightly cheaper than the print version). The new edition was partly necessary so I could include new accessories that Taig have created in the past decade or so, and partly because the printing company I was using for the 1st edition ceased trading, and this was the only easy way to get the book back in print.

You can find it on amazon.co.uk here:

Or by searching on your national Amazon site for "The Taig/Peatol Lathe".

HNY everyone -

Regards,
Tony

I just "Looked Inside" and notice that something has gone wrong with the initial drop letter (not quite right to a tee!).

It looks very interesting and will no doubt leave me wanting more.

Oh well - probably won't be the only one... Third edition anyone...?

Just looked inside the proof (paper) copy I have here & that error doesn't appear at all - so either it is an error with their "look inside" or it is only in the Kindle version.

Well played, Tony ... I wish you success yes

I have the first edition, but never did buy a Taig/Peatol, so probably don’t need the second.

Good to know that the print edition is not affected even though the fault is purely cosmetic.

I note that the book is independently published and that there is a significant difference in price between Kindle and print. Does anyone know how the pricing is determined as between author, publisher and amazon?

It seems to me that very often the difference is so small as to discourage the greener choice of digital.
