34 forum posts 5 photos	Has anyone built one of these kits from Bengs? Looking at the kit it seems to be quite good and I was just curious to see what others thought.

7881 forum posts 397 photos	Not myself. But forum member Brian John has built several very nice engines from Bengs kits. You should be able to search out threads by him showing pics etc. He seemed very happy with the kits.

442 forum posts 19 photos	yes! built 3 so far, very good quality kits, instructions in German but there are some build logs on the Bengs web site for most of the kits. The castings are very good, very easy to machine. All of mine run well on compressed air.

1228 forum posts 172 photos	Part way through a Bengs 'Sophie'. First experience of their product and mixed feelings. Problems stem from my difficulties 'reading' plans and lack of skills and the 'instruction' leaflet 'translation' which makes Chinglish a simple read!! Material quality is good - results very much down to 'operator quality'! Casting (Main Beam) needed remedial work on bearing location but machines OK. Kit is mainly raw material and fixings. Would I buy another? At the (half) price I paid for this, yes ... at full price? No. HTH rgds Bill
