381 forum posts 102 photos | Nice demo! They look like really good quality tools, as is most stuff from Arc. I have a small 50mm dia indexable face mill, but rarely use it, mainly because I end up with the workshop full of little razor sharp swarf everywhere! I need to get myself a fully enclosed mill. ![]() 25215 forum posts 3105 photos 1 articles | Cutting speeds are in all the captions and only the last fancy shape was on the CNC so rest done on machines with a max of 2000rpm, again machines used in captions. Cuts on the SX2.7 also show th espindle speed display Depending on diameter the face mills were run at 600-800rpm on steel and cast iron and 1750-2000rpm on Aluminium and smaller 25mm dia one at 1750-2000rpm on steel and iron on tmanuals and 5000rpm on te hCNCto give the cutting speeds shown. |

![]() 25215 forum posts 3105 photos 1 articles | That's odd John, although 289 shows on teh home page and at the top of all pages when I go to Magazines and select MEW they only start at 288? Emgee, I will get back to you shortly. |

![]() 1545 forum posts 484 photos | Ron/Jason, You are both right, of course. Only on Pocketmags from Saturday. It normally appears on here the same day for me, at least, so I got confused. Easily done, these days, I'm afraid. I'd blame it on too much mulled wine, but I'm only allowed one pint of Guinness a week due to medication! To paraphrase the old saying - "Read twice, post once!" Happy New Year. Spelling corrected. Edited By John Hinkley on 27/12/2019 11:37:59 |

2610 forum posts 312 photos | Jason, thanks for the weight, so 1070g is that inc the arbor or not ? Reason i'm asking is that's very close to being too heavy for my machine, especially at 2k rpm. Emgee |
