![]() 105 forum posts 17 photos | Hi All, I am thinking already about my next model! I have enjoyed making the Stuart D10 as well as the Stuart twin Victoria and i guess you can say i like Stuart models! So i was thinking about the Triple Expansion engine next....then i saw that AJ Reeves makes a competitor product to which i have no information about. Anyone got any opinions about either one? Maybe there are other Triple expansions worth considering? Thanks Matt |

Be aware that neither engine will run well on compressed air and may need some alterations to the pipework if that is how you intend to run them, fine on steam. certainly worth getting hold of the old back issues that cover the build of the Bolton if you opt for that.

....so far you are swaying me towards the Stuart model! I believe that also is not an easy model to make. My Grandfather made a Stuart Triple Expansion engine on his Treddle lathe forty years ago so I cant be that difficult to build My mother still has it as an ornament. Martin P |

![]() 1078 forum posts | My 10H was quite slow to arrive from Stuart; it was a birthday present ordered a few months before my birthday, and my birthday came and went, and more weeks besides. When it did turn up I had a problem with one of the castings, which to their credit they replaced without quibble. However there was the same delay of just over a month for the new one to arrive. The general quality of the 10H kit was very good indeed. Stuart's customer service was good, but you have to wait for them... My experiences with Reeves I have spoken about before. My personal experiences with their customer services encourages me to use other vendors unless there isn't another option.
