hi,i khave just joined and would like to introduce myself,my name is Pete and I’m based on the outskirts of Ellesmere Port,I’m keen on engineering/welding and brazing (I did this as a city and guilds qualification running alongside my main apprenticeship which was plumbing,) that was close to forty years back, now retired I can concentrate on engineering,I have a couple of lathes,gas/Mig/tig/oxy-acetylene/oxy-propane and plasma cutting equipment, plus milling machines,so I’m quite well set up,but that’s enough about me,regards Pete

Anything engineering but motorcycle engineering old and young,I own a Honda fireblade (anniversary edition) and have just completed (apart from the paint) a Honda xr500 motorsport 500cc single, which I completely rebuilt the engine including the rebore,I had to modify the frame to fit a oversized swingarm and wheel but I had use the jig to get the geometry right, now I’m slowly coming round to maybe getting a stationary engine,I just fancy the thud, thud side of things, regards pete

Hello and welcome Pete, a bit further south in Buxton, also with bikes, XT600, Ducati 900GTS, Guzzi Mk3Lemon and a T140 Bonny.
Don't make the same mistake as me; I just negotiating the purchase of a D Type Lister at the 1000 engine rally at Tatton Park at a decent price, when it suddenly dawned on me I's gone on the Ducati, rather than in the Landrover as it was such a nice day.
That then left me with the problem of getting the full size fire extinguisher back to Sheffield. blush
