I’m tidying up the pipework on a Simplex, most of which is 3/16”. What SWG should I use / is there a minimum recommended? The supplier I’m intending using lists 16, 20 & 22 SWG.

8 forum posts | Just following up on this, is there any reason not to use annealed copper pipe- it is cheaper than the straight lengths and comes in a coil so longer single lengths? |

![]() 7468 forum posts 230 photos | It's easier to use straight lengths, and bend them, rather than trying to get the coiled tube straight, curves where it should be straight look awful, you would find out about pipe work if you modeled an NZR locomotive, all the pipe work exposed all over the boiler. 5307 forum posts 83 photos | Gavin I've got a load of brand new copper pipe I'm trying to sell on behalf of a model engineer who has had to give up due to ill health. It will be a lot cheaper than retail. If you're interested, send me your email address by pm and I will send you a list |
