If my wife caught me doing that on our patio, it would not end well

A great video, thanks. When you heated it to red heat then quenched with water, how hard does that make the metal? I am wondering what the optimal hardness on an anvil should be...

Thanks friend.

I do not know how to tell you the degree of hardness of the anvil, but it was hard enough not to scratch or sink. Nor was it too hard to break.
Sorry, my english is not very good.
Greetings from Brazil

I imagine that quenching that way would give a tough skin, but a flexible interior.
