![]() 19226 forum posts 749 photos 86 articles | Hello Albert, The classified are meant as a benefit for our community of regular forum users. Subscribers get the benefit of the free adverts in the magazines. Also, the online ads have suffered abuses in the past so we need people to make a few postings to prove they are genuine before they can see the details of advertisers. Make another post and you should start to get access. Neil |

2 forum posts | Thank you Neil for your reply. I fully understand the the trouble with online abuse, whilst I always read forum posts to pick up tips and information I tend to be the old school "Hear all, See all, Say nowt." at the upper end of eighty's this modern computer thingy seems a bit daunting to dabble with given time I suppose like my Mobile phone I will Get used to It.. 2 forum posts | Hi I am a new member and also find it frustrating that I am unable to see the contact details in the classified. More frustrating as I am not yet comfortable enough to participate in any of the conversations without making a nuisance of myself simply to make a posting to get access to the contact details.Hopefully this counts towards the few postings. |

![]() 19226 forum posts 749 photos 86 articles | HI both. The prime purpose of the classifieds is to benefit forum users as a marketplace. Our requirement for a few postings to gain access helps us reduce abuses of the system, and I'm afraid we have to put protection of our regular users above convenience for people who don't participate. Tony - no-one should be afraid to participate - there are no stupid questions if you don't know the answer and everyone has something to offer. Neil |

![]() 1009 forum posts 305 photos | i may not make many posts but do understand the reasons for the rule about how many posts before being able to use the classified, and in the same vain can also understand those that have stuff which is relevant to this hobby not being able to post for sale especially if they no longer follow the or take part in using their equipment. The only thing that i do get a little frustrated with is the picture posted can not be enlarged to get a proper look at the item or those that choose not to even bother with posting a photo in the first place. But then as a newbie here should I really be allowed to complain |

... How many posts do I have to make to get contact access to contact details? Not many, was 5, I think it's two at the moment. No need for a complicated essay : the purpose is to trip up automated web crawlers, not members! Dave |
