Flying Balls

1719 forum posts 1 photos | Way back in the 70's on a visit to the UK I saw at a ME Exhibition a clock escapement consisted of balls, suspended on threads which wrapped themselves around a cylinder alternately in one direction, then the other. I've got interested again - can anyone tell me what such a clock is called. (I understand it keeps rotten time ... partly what makes it so loveable.) |

2356 forum posts 47 photos | Yes I can see where that could lead to some odd search results. No limit to the depravity these days. I know I'm old when I have to rotate my head 90 degrees to understand what is happening on screen at some sites after misdirected search criteria..... (I'll get my coat and hat .... verbosity / content police will be hovering now.....) |
