Found this item in a box of bits from a car boot sale.Has anyone got any idea what it is?. The thin end rotates in a clockwise direction and locks anticlockwise and the 2 ends part push and pull apart and lock on the pins. It Is made by Charles Taylor Birmingham. |

2742 forum posts 39 photos | Hello John, Charles Taylor were an engineering company that made metal spinning lathes and those very accurate 'pointy' faced lathe chucks with the taper scroll along with a lot more besides of an engineering nature. I'll start the ball rolling by offering a one way clutch that might be used for fixed repeat position operation where matching of the output to previous operations is important, as in screwcutting for example.
