Not familiar with that one Kevin. Cannot find a reference to it. F & R is usually a push button on the front of the unit. The remote is usually pretty straight forward apart from the fact that you will need to program the unit to run from an external source.

Can you post some pictures of the connection layout schematic in the book. ?

Also a link to the inverter would help a bit.

regards

It shows you how to wire a remote on the ebay images. Do you not just press the res (bottom half of the stop buttton) to reverse. Just guessing though.

Kevin, i hope you get some replies,as i have a couple of inverters that i want to wire a remote pod on and all inverters seem to have different labelled terminals which certainly confuses me . On my south bend lathe i have a remote box which i salvaged from something else which has been sitting next to the lathe for 3 years .Currently im reaching over to the wall and using the inverter controls on its front panel.

Being electronically illiterate myself i dont follow all this 2 and 3 wire control stuff,etc...

Have you bought one of those pods off ebay??

I fitted a brass plate to the front of mine and etched a south bend design on it ,the buttons look naff but as i said its been sitting there for years. I do have a speed pot to fit on the side as well.,and id like the forward reverse switch fitted as well.

Assuming you have wired the speed control to the relevant terminals, Analog in/10v/ gnd, you need to tell the inverter to ignore the front panel speed input and use the external input you just wired in....this will be a keypad change of one of the parameters.... Should be in the manual.....a link to it would be great.

Kevin, If you cannot read the manual I would suggest that you email or contact the supplier. Ask them for a list of the basic parameters that need changing for external control.

My speed controls are wired one side of pot to 5v out, centre to 5v in, other side of pot to ground. (yours may have a different voltage like 10 or 20volts)

Hope this helps a bit.

regards
