227 forum posts 72 photos | Must admit it was 2011 when I got medium from them. Wheels are 5/8" x 1/4". Might be worth a call though. |

![]() 2052 forum posts 56 photos | I do have to say this shows there are still some advantages to making your own knurling tool, even when cheap ones can now be obtained that do a reasonable job. At least with a homemade one you can make it fit whatever stock bore sizes happen to be available to your area. In other words, you're not necessarily stuck with a design that can't be altered easily. Michael W |

![]() 2376 forum posts 800 photos | I've bought 1/4" bore knurling wheels from various sources and they all seem to be slightly different widths. I'd make my tool capable of taking spacer washers to take up the difference for the narrower wheels. Rod |

32 forum posts 3 photos | Gloster tooling sell what your looking for. I have fitted HSS medium diamond knurls 3/4" x 1/4" wide x 1/4" bore to a knurling tool I have just made and they work fine. Cost was £12.60 delivered. |

227 forum posts 72 photos | Apologies for resurrecting an old thread, but the info supplied (by me) above is incorrect. The correct Hemingway wheels are 5/8" x 3/16" x 1/4" bore. It does seem a bit of an odd-ball size and they are not stocked in many places. Cromwell Tools do keep them but are rather expensive, but Hemingway does not keep much choice. Cromwell have them in Fine, Medium and Coarse versions. Pete |

And because i'm a Cheap Charlie and had a surplus of 3/8" wide, brand name 1/4" bore wheels of different patterns, i made a jig and skimmed them down in my Stent T&CG - now that was fun. Not. Edited By thaiguzzi on 11/11/2017 13:28:16 |
