![]() 2947 forum posts 468 photos | FWIW...Trepanning tool / form tool ... round nosed, for square bottomed grooves the end obviously will be square, make sure that the front edge has a radius on the bottom edge so it doesn't catch the outer radius of the groove if you're trepanning. |

2661 forum posts 294 photos | You might also consider a round carbide insert.. so-called profiling tool. They go down to certainly 5mm diameter (perhaps smaller) but again the problem could be one of clearance. |
