Don't bother.

Far, far cheaper to replace the motor than have it rewound. Anything below 15Kw is now cheaper to replace.

If you have single phase motor problems then look to replacing it with a 3 phase motor and Inverter [ VFD ] you will never look back.

I had to have a central heating pump rewound because I could not shift the nuts on the base, 24" stillsons with an old fork stanchion would not shift them and as it was a bit cold without heating a 24hr rewind seemed worth it but a bit pricey compared to a new pump. I think the boiler was over 25 years old when it got replaced so two pumps in 25 years didn't seem bad. SEW eurodrive sell stators as a spare part and do not recommend rewinding especially in applications where two motors are working as a pair, they reckon a rewound motor is 5-10% different from a factory part. For a Myford a new motor is not expensive and as John says a good opportunity to go for the inverter option unless your motor is 3 phase already.

Terry, for what machine do you need a motor? I have a motor from off my VMB which I replaced with 3 phase, I'm happy to sell it for a fair price. PM me if you're interested.

If you do choose to go down the three phase/VFD route these people are very helpful. https://inverterdrive.com/

No connection etc.

Back in the 70s, I re-wound several single phase motors, I still use a couple of them 40 years later. But I am not so sure that I would want to do them now as the skin on my knuckles has worn a bit thin.
