Taken 8 months to machine and build, this is my second completed engine, my other being and elmers 24 beam engine.
Could not get it to run until a very knowledgeable man by the name of Geoff from Christchurch, Dorset, came to look at it and straight away informed me I had fitted the valve the wrong way, bit of re-machining, a new nut was made.
And thank god it finally runs!!!laughlaugh
Please watch the video and let me know your thoughts

Thanks, Geoff.

Nice one.
Quick question, did you use the US threaded fasteners as per drawing or convert to metric?

yes I converted all threads to metric the one good thing about metric is thread sizes only two

worked in the aircraft industry many moons ago dealt with Europe usa and this country complete nightmare with threads metric unc ba bsf etc tapping size clearance size drills ,taps and dies storing all these

worked in building trade for the last 30 years doors all still in inches we have never gone metric just converting inches to metric

got back in to engineering making models 2years ago still work in English but use metric threads

one set of taps and dies not boxes of English sizes

sorry for the moan thanks Geoff
