dscf0109.jpgDear Members, I have acquired unfinished projects.

However this one has club members and I confused. Please can some one help as regards its use, a link to drawings so I can compete it.

It has a collar at the top 3/4 " Dia x 9/16ths deep this has a bolt in the side and two holes at the top. this is fixed to a slide connected to a indexed rotary lockable fitting.

This is connected to a movable slide with a screwed feed and the base of this has axle and a fitting. See photos

Any help would be much appreciated. Yours Peter Bentley

A few more photos from different angles would sure help.

Might it be part of a backing-off tool for making gear cutters?

Can't see any number stamping on the rotary bit, but might you have it upside down, and it pivots on the boss and may be used for grinding a radius on cutters?

The Idea of a Cam profile cutter is one I had not thought about. How would it be set up.
