I look at lining tools and wonder if they're worth the effort unless you expect to make a lot of dials. I would put the time into a multiple carriage-stop which is likely to be used more often. |

![]() 2156 forum posts | Bill, it is done by drag and scratch. I use a piece of 1/4" diameter HSS spun to a point on the cutter grinder. I have several of these pointed items and use the for marking out on the mill with readout and sometimes to guide a tap. Chris. |
