about to say the same Clive. We used them on lightweight rooflight glazing bars, slid down the backs then bolted to the purlins.

Sounds like a pretty good greenhouse if its been make with solid wooden purlins, own build?

All the greenhouse fixings I have used were either M6 threads or 1/4" Whitworth, also usually made from aluminium.

If these are 3BA I would guess that they are specially made but its anyone's guess what they are for.

Michael, who said the purlins were wood?

3BA are often electrical fittings.
