![]() 25215 forum posts 3105 photos 1 articles | Should be someone who stocks Harris products over there, use their sockist locator Probably more likely to find things if you look for "silverbraze" rather than silver solder. Also don't be tempted to the low silver content stuff, look for Safety-silv 45 as a good all rounder

2356 forum posts 47 photos | Some years ago I bought a qty of silver solder and flux from Handy and Harman in Rexdale (Toronto) Ontario. They were not especially happy to supply an individual with a small order but they eventually did. http://www.handyharman.com/joining_materials.php They now distribute Lucas Milhaupt products. You could try Handy and Harman and if they don't want to deal directly they may be able to direct you to a local distributor, or you might try calling Lucas Millhaupt directly in the US. Most suppliers to the refrigeration service trade carry a few grades of silver solder. Wolselely industrial supply (many branches in Ontario) may carry some grades. JD |

842 forum posts 56 photos | Matt - I go to the local welding supply store, Air Liquide, and they have it on the shelf, along with the flux. Last stuff I purchased was Lucas Milaupt, Easy Flo 45, containing Cadmium, (so don't overheat and breathe the fumes in an enclosed area - any soldering of any size is done outside - pic attached) Where are you located? (even approximately)

![]() 431 forum posts 252 photos | Matt Like John I've always bought mine from the local welding supply company, normally Liquid Air, in Summerside and Charlottown PEI, Winnipeg MB, now in Cambell River on Van.Is., normally off the shelf. I've found that they will order if you want something they don't normally stock. When they did it for me I had to order a minimum quantity. (In my case it was 250 grams of .75mm Easy-Flo 45, as I wanted some fine wire for soldering up boiler fittings). It was expensive but I offered to sell it to the club members in Winnipeg in 1 oz coils at cost and got enough guys interested to make it feasible. John Purdy |

2356 forum posts 47 photos | Regarding link to Western Metals from Bill Hancox - This may not be a practical option as WM are based in Calgary Alberta, about 3500 km to Peterborough where Matt is. Shipping costs will be very high for shipping silver solder 3500 km. I suggest sources in Ontario be considered first. Welding supply places near me in southwestern Ontario typically do not carry much if any silver solder and their markup is very high. ie 5 to 8 times prices for same goods on US websites. Refrigeration supply firms and industrial supply firms are more reasonable on price for silver soldering supplies in my experience here in Ontario. JD |
