Sorry, I cannot answer your specific question NB

I brought mine from Machine Mart a few years back and I don't think it was that expensive (can't remember now but I do know I won't have paid too much - I'm too tight!). Mine works well on the wheels I use.

To be frank, I didn't know they came in different "Carats" (wheel dressers - not diamonds that is) let alone know which size I should be choosing and I don't think MM offered any choice in that area.

Regards,

IanT

I bought 0.5 carat dressers for my grinding machines; they seem to work fine on the Clarkson as well.

Naughtyboy, any diamond size will do the job, the bigger the diamond the more you will have to pay.

I use the one below.

Easy to use and guaranteed to get the wheels square.

Diamond grinding wheel dresser

Geoff - Time to take the Austin Seven body off of the chassis.

I use one of these; I made a ally block to tilt the diamond to about 5* down angle...

Those are the easy route to dressing a wheel without the problem of evenly feeding a single point tool across the wheel. It's what I use most of the time and my single point one hasn't come out since I bought it.
