a lot of i have read suggest a single point dresser for wheels. got choice of .25, .5 or .75 carat. which is best? can only get one this month can get others if need them next month.

2147 forum posts 222 photos | Sorry, I cannot answer your specific question NB I brought mine from Machine Mart a few years back and I don't think it was that expensive (can't remember now but I do know I won't have paid too much - I'm too tight!). Mine works well on the wheels I use. To be frank, I didn't know they came in different "Carats" (wheel dressers - not diamonds that is) let alone know which size I should be choosing and I don't think MM offered any choice in that area. Those are the easy route to dressing a wheel without the problem of evenly feeding a single point tool across the wheel. It's what I use most of the time and my single point one hasn't come out since I bought it. John - |
