![]() 6956 forum posts 229 photos | Nearly upon us and no related thread yet. Will the Vertical lathe be on show? It is always interesting to see magazine features in the flesh. I also liked seeing the shaper on the SME stand last year after years of examining pictures. It might be an idea in future to see if a few of the more portable lathes can be displayed to show people what some of the 'not new' stuff really looks like.

![]() 19226 forum posts 749 photos 86 articles | Mayhap it will - although I'm so busy this week I haven't been able to finish the backgear. Norden and the Fradley Canal Crane will be on loan with a few other items so folks can have a chuckle and come back down to earth after viewing the DoE display! Not sure where people got the idea I would be doing a talk at the Leamington show (I'm sure someone else said they missed me there)? It's run by the publishers of the 'other' magazine, they might think I was being a bit forward! My 'open forum' will be at 2:30 on Friday - it should be up on the monitors etc. Had hoped MEW would be out a bit early with the time in it, but the fonts went funny in some diagrams and the new proofing system resulted in the final changes being a bit slow to go through.
