Ladies and Gentlemen,

As I move into another phase of retirement, I feel obliged and humble to have made so many friends and acquaintances (more than 70) via `Model Engineer’ threads and posts.

These are the people who in some way have helped me to build and finish the late John Stevenson’s skeleton clock.

Thank you and regards to all,

Sam

PS I apologise if I’ve missed anyone.

Sam,

I can't remember designing a clock ?

You put the late John Stevenson, now being late I can relate to but not the designing bit. wink

Well Sam - I don't know that I've contributed that much to your build but I have very much enjoyed both the posts of your progress and also our correspondence. All good wishes for the future and do please keep in touch.

As the temperatures rise in sunny OZ just think of the poor shivering hoards here in the UK! ( OK it's pretty mild at present but I doubt that state will remain for long!)

All best wishes to you.

Norman

John

Being late is maybe a good reason for designing a clock ,,,,,,,,,,?

My apologies John.

Of course, the clock-designer was the late John Stevens. The design was released in the ME in Feb '72 and continued for a further four editions.

Norman, thanks for your kind words.

I intend to `stick around' for a while yet, and will be only too happy to chat.

Regards,

Sam

Maybe it was a time machine and he hasn't designed it yet.

Thanks for you gracious appreciation, Sam.

There are many happy years for both you and your clock to come, I'm sure.

Neil
