We are slow, but we currently have no cases in the community, so it is not so urgent. I wish we were getting the Pfizer vaccine though. Why?

605 forum posts | Looking at Peter Greene's graph I must be particularly dense this morning, it is peaking around the 6000 mark, I don't know what the UK figure were on the first day or so of roll out but for some time now we have been in the hundreds of thousands per day, over half a million at times, someone put me out of my misery please and explain where I am going wrong in my interpretation, surprised no one else has not commented which makes me think it is me. Yes, now you point it out, at around 6000 jabs per day, it would take over 3300 days (9 years) to administer the 20,000,000 the government says it has already given. There must be a simple explanation to it.

714 forum posts 414 photos | I have always expected the "First Dose Rate" to taper off. There are bound to be many people who have had their first dose, but are now requiring their second dose. The facilities for administering the doses have not been expanded so the current facilities must be catering for both, hence the reduction in "First Doses". Regards Gray, |

Latest date I have here (Ontario Canada) for first shot for me (78 with underlying issues) is that a booking portal will open in mid April. FWIW, here's Canada's performance compared to other countries. Even allowing for relative population it's pretty dismal

I think the vertical scale (ordinate) should be in hundreds of thousands i.e. the UK peaked at about 600,000 per day. I'm guessing that the dip in the UK and US was a supply issue. Rod |

605 forum posts | That would be logical explanation although I would expect the conventional way for the Y axis would be hundreds x 1000. Bill D. |
