2 forum posts | I have just found this site and this thread re Stirling Engines. Robert Hornby remembered an engine from 1988 which reminded me of one from the early 1980's probably around 1984 or 5. It was in the Christmas edition of that year and featured on the front cover. If I remember correctly it was designed by Stan Bray and was really a Christmas toy for a child. I built this engine at the time for my son and it ran perfectly first time (perhaps I was lucky) and it caused a lot of interest among my model engineering friends. Unfortunately it seems to have been lost in his many subsequent house moves. I don't think there ever was a published plan because it was a one off and all the information was contained in the article. Can anyone shed any light on this engine and by any chance still have a copy of this magazine as I would like to build another one for my own amusement. 2 forum posts | Thank you KWIL for the info. Now all I need is a copy of the mag. Does anyone know if this is still available in original form or as copies? If anyone has a copy I will be pleased to pay for the cost of copying and postage. |

1294 forum posts 108 photos 1 articles | Hi Robert, I could scan the article and email it to you if you wish. Including the cover there are four pages that you would want. Provided you have a reasonably fast connection this should be no problem. Send me a personal message with your email if you would like that. regards John |
