Thread: Black 5 sorted at long last

One of the great pleasures in life driving a steam loco with injectors that pick up, nodoubt Ben will be getting

a box of chocholates for christmas, but it is now a labour of love to keep a steam loco in tip top working order

there is always something to fix or improve, but that is fun bit.

Thread: Query on Ajax locomotive and steaming ability
07/02/2017 08:52:04

Hi Greg, everybody may have an engine design that would meet your criteria, my pennyworth

is the Y4 which is a brilliant design and many are running with remarkable success, has been updated over the years

and is currently being described in easy to follow steps in EIM. I could list 6 that are in constant use and produce

ample power and adhesion for anything you would want todo

Luckie you, I have oftern wondered what the two tapped holes were for in the headstock of my lathe, but now I know

Thread: What's the best place to buy and sell lathes and millers.
11/11/2016 20:37:31

This site has the potential of being ideal for the sale of genuine model engineering equipment

and models, but as the majority of followers are unable to access the sellers contact details

it is virtually useless, stick with Homeworkshop, it is a great site

I have dealt with M. M . for a very long time and they are first rate, not always next day , but it has never failed to arrive, always ample supplies on the Harrogate show stand, and they give good advise, F.O.C.

Thread: blackgates engineering

The Clarkson L1 is a first rate engine and is to scale!! certainly in 5" gauge, the only drawback for me is that it is

slide valve , I am a great supporter of all the Clarkson locos and their castings were flawless, to see a complete

example have a look on the Steam Workshop web site, quite a few examples have been built and run very

successfully I am also building one, but with p.v., I cant see anything wrong with the drawings

Peter.
