if ruinning on air you will ALWAYS get moisture, try adding a little hydraulic oil at source

I had the same trouble late last year and found one at chronos and two at rotagrip. in the end rotagrip refunded as no stock and got one from chronos. The other possibility is to try Millhill Supplies as sherline is 1 mt. In the end I opted for a 1mt ER16 collet chuck as I already use that size collet. So far it has been ok.

just out of interest my son works at a facility with a BIG cnc shop and the drills and milling cutters they use are names I've never heard of and I've been cutting metal for a looooong while so perhaps the old tool manufacturers have been left behind, a bit like the car and bike industry

I have had some Brazilian Dormer drills and the front end goes from ok to appalling, seems to change with sizes so perhaps its poor sharpening set up?

Surely years ago these were spiral milled. I have done a couple of spiral milling jobs (internal m/cycle throttles) unfortunately setup time was about 95% of the job but interesting. Machinerys Handbook has some good info.

My AF spanner set from the late 60s went up in 32nds and I still have them, Britool of course and the chrome is still on them!!!
