Hi Dave , exactly the same as mine and ex education as well. Mine has a date on the tool[ost swivel its 120976!. I also made the sleeve gear and post to enable auto vertical feed, a really worthwhile exercise . |

I agree with Noel that bearings are not recommended for rocking motions where the balls/rollersdo not overlap each other in their motion, clock makers use them on most arbors but not on escapement arbors for reasons of rubbish collecting at either end of the movement which can effect the motion of the escapement. this sort of thing would not effect a ic engine but would still give uneven wear pockets in the bearing tracks. Bushed rocker arms would also share the load over a greater area with the accompanying larger oil film. |

they are getting a bit more cute as some of my scam calls are from a local exchange according to the caller display. I suppose you are more likely to answer if it looks local. the supposed insulation people won't take no for an answer even when you are downright rude!! |

I have heard of the ball method but only in plain bores as when there are ports the bore size must change as the pressure is on less material!! |

Just to deviate a bit I took a trip to the local model shop for some glow fuel for a Humbug I have just finished, hoping to get some advice on a suitable fuel for the above and was met with "Dunno mate". all I was asking if they did a run of the mil fuel or a sport version and we wonder why people don't do anything! |

Wrap paper strip round and cut to exact length, lay out flat and measure then divide into convenient divisions refit to smokebox and use marks for drilling. |
