To get away from this problem I sometimes fit a right angle round bar to the end of dti shaft and then dti above centre height. the bar drops vertically so is always on centre height.

diameter looks a bit like 5/32 and tpi should be simple enough with a good rule and eye loupe

depending on what its use the cut and silver solder route would give you a sharper corner, or it could be big welded.

that's going to keep you busy but the end result will be something special. I am working on a 0.1 Ci single at the moment and the problem of limits and fits is stretching me I fear, best of luck and keep us updated

The odd Stuart fittings I have looked at have the blanking bolts all threaded 40 tpi by either 1/8 or 5/32 or 3/16 and the threads that fit to boiler bushes appear be 32tpi. I think I would double check your 0.158 measurement as it sounds very unlike Stuart !
