Back in the late sixties I had a apprentice who had a skill in making 'cannons' he would make them out of anything suitable he could find doing a lot in his lunch break also made his own power one lunch time he shot one at a large wooden storage cupboard and the ball bearing passed through the front and back of the cupboard once I realised the power of his device I told he could still construct them in his lunch time but never fire one at work again H |

17/12/2021 18:09:13 |
When I did my jury service some years back I was on a Coroners Jury the case I was on was that of an electrician who died in an accidence whilst at work resulting in his death by electrocution being a electrician in heavy industry i was not only interested in the case but also understood the in's and out's of the accidence. After the case was present the jury were allowed to ask questions, some question from my fellow jury members were challenged by the defence however not mine . H |

Thread: Drilling and filling of the Dental kind. |
04/12/2021 16:30:21 |
Why on earth did you allow him to ? Posted by J Hancock on 03/12/2021 19:50:51: My last visit to an NHS dentist was in 1962 Allington House , Ipswich , an evening appointment. I was 16 years old , it was the same establishment I had been taken to from 7 years old but this time I was working as an apprentice. Every single filling , up to this time had been done with NO injections of Novacaine and an 'electric' drill. BUT this event was Dustin Hoffman / Marathon Man on steroids. An old man with glasses appeared and said " the electric drill is broken " and proceeded to use a treadle drill. PAIN ....................... NEVER, EVER used an NHS dentist since.
