I bought myself a knurling tool but when it arrived, the shank is too big to fit in the opening of my tool holder. Any suggestions?

1. Send it back and buy a smaller one

2. Buy a bigger tool holder/post

3. see how hard the shank is and machine it down if possible

I used to take the Dickson toolpost off and use the original clamp onto the topslide but now mine lives in the Gibralter toolpost.
