Pocketmags publication date?

I was just curious to see when the latest issue will appear on the new Pocketmags viewer. In the past subscribers have always received their copy before the magazine appears in the shops.

4464 has been in the online archive since Tuesday, arriveda bit later than usual this week by post also on Tuesday but as of 10.50pm is not available via pocket mags.

What's the official publication date?

Thanks Diane, it always used to be one of the selling points of the subscription that you would get your mag early.

Still nothing 7.30 this morning.

Jason, I agree Subscribers should get the latest mags ahead of the 'on shelf' date, but more relevant is the fact that I have the paper mag on my desk, it is in the archive but not available in the pocketmags app!!

So yet another total c()(" up by the publishers. Will they ever listen to their customers and actually provide the service for which we pay?

I guess no point in griping because despite the best efforts of Diane and David, it all seems to fall on deaf ears by the time the message reaches the corridors of power.

Just got in and it's there now, maybe they are working in a different time zone but its still only available on publication day not almost a week earlier as is the norm with paper.

The (so far unconfirmed) answer is that digital issue should be availalble at the same time as the paper subscribers' issue, not the 'on sale' date, but this is currently being checked out.

I will report back when I know more.

It's early days I suppose...

Just an update

Issue 4465 available on the website Monday 16th

Printed version on my doorstep Wednesday morning 18th

Available to view via Pocketmags 10.53 today the 20th

So it still looks like its being made available on "publication day" and even then later than its likely to be on WHSmiths shelves
